The Route

Our route will take us south from Sheffield to Surrey to pick up Graham for the first leg of the trip. We are crossing from Dover to Boulogne on Sunday 17 December. We travel diagonally across France to the western end of the Pyrenees. Once in Spain we plan to head to Granada to chill out before heading to Tarifa to meet up with the other teams.

Once off the ferry to Morocco we head for Rabat then onto Marrakech for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day we switch drivers on 27 December with Chris arriving from the UK by Easyjet and Graham heading home for New Year. With Chris aboard it's over the Atlas mountains and on to Western Sahara. We then continue south in to Mauritania for New Year somewhere in the desert.

The first day of 2007 will see us entering the desert for three days. Once out of the desert it's a dash across Senegal in a day to Gambia for the final leg and triumphant procession in to Banjul.
